چکیده

To explore the effect of electroacupuncture on spinal cord injury (SCI) involving immune-related factors and regeneration-related in rats. The model contusion was established by PCI 3000 instrument. Two types acupuncture points were selected for treatment rats tested once a week, fiber remodeling detected magnetic resonance imaging. Transcriptome sequencing performed scar samples. Using Python to write code, statistical analysis bioinformatics correlation between transcriptome data reconstruction results are carried out. Lastly, expression CD4 brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) verified quantitative reverse-transcription polymerase chain reaction (qRT-PCR). Electroacupuncture exhibited positive recovery motor function after SCI. Bioinformatics found direct interaction BDNF. PCR that significantly reduced CD4, increased BDNF, simultaneously corresponding nerve regeneration with Our showed intervention SCI improves neural behavior via inhibiting increasing

Functional recovery assessment of spinal cord contusion model in male rats without therapeutic interventions

Introduction: Spinal cord injury (SCI) is one of the most serious clinical diseases, which not only affects the patient's physical and mental status, but its effects will be spread to family and community. After severe spinal cord injury, astrocytes of the central nervous system (CNS) become reactive astrocytes, and play the main role of glial scar formation. The scar is a major obstacle to r...

Transplantation of Olfactory Mucosa Improve Functional Recovery and Axonal Regeneration Following Sciatic Nerve Repair in Rats

Background: Olfactory ensheathing glia (OEG) has been shown to have a neuroprotective effect after being transplanted in rats with spinal cord injury. This study was conducted to determine the possible beneficial results of olfactory mucosa transplantation (OMT) which is a source of OEG on functional recovery and axonal regeneration after transection of the sciatic nerve. Methods: In this study...

the effect of functional/notional approach on the proficiency level of efl learners and its evaluation through functional test

in fact, this study focused on the following questions: 1. is there any difference between the effect of functional/notional approach and the structural approaches to language teaching on the proficiency test of efl learners? 2. can a rather innovative language test referred to as "functional test" ge devised so so to measure the proficiency test of efl learners, and thus be as much reliable an...

Thermostabilized chondroitinase ABC Promotes Neuroprotection after Contusion Spinal Cord Injury

Background: Chondroitinase ABC (cABC), due to its loosening impact on the extracellular matrix scaffold, has been used to enhance regeneration of injured axonal tracts after spinal cord injury (SCI). However, cABC thermal instability at physiological temperature has limited its clinical application. The disaccharide trehalose has been shown to increase the stability of cABC in body temperature....

Fenretinide promotes functional recovery and tissue protection after spinal cord contusion injury in mice.

The inflammatory response is thought to contribute to secondary damage after spinal cord injury (SCI). Polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFAs) play an important role in the onset and resolution of inflammation. Arachidonic acid (AA), an omega-6 PUFA, contributes to the initiation of inflammatory responses, whereas docosahexaenoic acid (DHA), an omega-3 PUFA, has antiinflammatory effects. Therefore,...
